We hear all around us about the impending doom that is climate change. A group called C40 Cities in collaboration with Arup advisors have come up with some ambitious climate goals so that we can all save the earth… or something like that. There’s a problem, however, that if we do these things, we will have to completely give up our way of life. Their JUMP Campaign demands things that no one wants to do, including the elites that say these things and then will keep doing them after they’ve forced you to stop. First, they expect that we will eat a largely plant-based diet. Second, that you buy no more than three new pieces of clothes per year. They also want to limit your freedom to travel. Are you sold yet?
Washington DC, New York, San Francisco, Houston, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Philidelphia, Portland, Phoenix, Seattle, New Orleans, Miami, Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal have all signed on to implement these standards. Do you like your car? Too bad! Do you like to eat meat? Too bad! Is this really the kind of future you want? You have to say something now. You have to stop voting for anyone that is behind these kinds of policies. Our freedom is on the line. This is not a drill.
We also discuss the assassination of Rev Martin Luther King Jr, and whether James Earl Ray is the sole perpetrator or not. There were signs that he may have been the mastermind and signs that maybe he wasn’t. Let us know what you think!

Unless you’ve been hiding in your basement bunker, you’ve had to have heard about the uproar around school districts’ teaching of critical theory. Parents are up in arms around the country, and fighting back against these school boards for control over the curriculum being taught to their children.
Critical theory comes to us from the Frankfort school, which were communists that were at odds with the National Socialists (Nazis) in Germany, losing out to Adolph Hitler. They set up shop in our universities, and developed critical theory, because the United States would never accept classical Marxism (the financial theory) without changing the value system of our society. They believed that they could find a disaffected population that could be convinced that they were “oppressed” and turn them against “their oppressors”.
It’s not good enough to be “not racist”. You have to be trained to be antiracist, which means that you actively fight against racism, including using discrimination against the “oppressors” to level the playing field. I’m sorry, discrimination is wrong no mater who is doing it to who. There are 51 recall efforts where parents are targeting 130 elected members of school boards. They have had enough, and want for their children to be free from this racist philosophy. Are there enough of us to beat it back?
Also… It’s history week. Can Jason equal last month’s achievement?

Fine Advocates You Are…

The League of Minnesota Cities posits itself as an advocate for all of the cities of this state. 850 of 853 Minnesota cities are members. It has a lot of (your) money to not only provide legal help for cities, but to support legislation for bills like House File 600 which supports recreational cannabis. No matter your position, we’re not sure what that has to do with cities. They are also advocates for Local Government Aid (LGA), which takes our tax dollars and redistributes them to municipalities across the state. There are bills before the legislature that state that a portion of LGA has to go to the police, a portion has to go to housing (re)development, and that no LGA will go to a city that reduces its police force.
They are a huge advocate of the equity push that we are seeing in cities. Remember that “equity” is not the same as “equality”. Equality assures equal treatment and equal opportunities for all, regardless of race. Equity is where some people are treated more equal than others, with preference given to certain races of people over other races, “evening the playing field” in their eyes. It takes away from some and gives to others. They back a move to have residents report potential discrimination on their neighbors.
There is another group exclusively for cities outside of the metro called the Coalition of Greater MN Cities. They back Senate File 1903 which would create a grant program to help cities to pay for housing development. They want state money to do the sewer and water. They want to build more apartments and multi-family housing.
There are so many of these groups (League of MN Cities, Coalition of Greater MN Cities, Association of Metropolitan Municipalities, etc.) that are asking for money to complete projects and/or lobbying for legislation in St Paul. Are these requests really the best thing for these cities? Are they the best thing for Minnesota?
Also, the Minnesota Legislature just passed a COVID relief bill. We also discuss President Joe Biden’s lassez-faire approach to being the leader of the free world and the future of Andrew Cuomo as governor of New York.

They’re Just Better Than You

We continue with our discussion on The Great Reset. Last week we taught you what it is, now we tell you how it is going to affect you locally. Huge corporations are joining together with government to form public-private partnerships and decide exactly what rules others will have to play by. These public-private partnerships are creating ESG Goals (Environmental, Social, and Governance), based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of Agenda 2030. There are 17 different categories of SDGs that boast to deliver a world where no one is left behind. There will be rules around water, land, air, food, health, inequalities, energy, and more. It will affect how products are shipped, what products you can get, and what kind of price controls are in place. What do any of these globalist corporations know about cities in rural Minnesota? I’d argue they know nothing about the suburbs either.
Banks are starting to write rules around who they will or will not do business with. If your business is not moving towards participating in a net zero economy (averaging no emissions), you will not be able to do business with these banks. Wells Fargo and Bank of America are already headed down this road. Even investment companies like BlackRock could hurt your bottom line. 48 companies are deciding for everyone else what constitutes racial justice in business. 50 global companies with the AARP are writing the rules on age in the workplace. They are also determining how to increase physical and mental health of the cities’ populations. 9 cities and 70 organizations will be mandating how cities become more circular and green, leading to a net zero economy.
We have the makings of a treaty, but because its being implemented by corporations, they don’t have to sign a treaty or observe constitutional principles. Who represents you in an oligarchy? The answer is no one. These companies don’t care about you. They want to play ball with the governments, so that they get to write the regulations that will benefit them. Your opinions are not needed, nor are they wanted.
Also, when will Governor Tim Walz make everyone to go back to school? It’s not that we should be in a rush to subject our children to the ever-worsening curriculum and push for equity, but the Teacher’s Union keeps pushing to keep teachers out of the classroom, despite the science saying that it’s relatively safe for them to return.
We also discuss the recent passing of talk radio icon, Rush Limbaugh, what his show meant to us… and our genre as a whole.
