I need a good laugh folks! The city of New Hope is celebrating Diaper Need Awareness Week!!!!

The New Hope City Council proclaimed the week of September 26 through October 2, 2016 as “Diaper Need Awareness Week in the city of New Hope” at its meeting on August 8.

I think that motion really stinks!! Paaaaahhhhh! And really, they issued a proclamation? I her ye declare this to be diaper week!

The city of New Hope began supporting a bi‐annual diaper drive by Helping Us Grow (HUG), a program coordinated by Robbinsdale Area Redesign and Robbinsdale Area Schools, in January 2016. The city agreed to place a diaper collection bin in the lobby at City Hall in February and September of each year.

So you’ve done this before????

The most common material requests by local families in need are diapers, car seats, and cribs. The New Hope Police Department and North Memorial have helped residents obtain car seats and HUG has been successful in obtaining portable cribs for those in need. HUG’s bi‐annual diaper drive will help to fill that need. Community members interested in participating in the HUG Diaper Drive may drop off new packages of diapers, open packages of diapers (if a child outgrew a size), or new packages of wipes at New Hope City Hall during August and September. Cash donations may also be made through the Diaper Bank of Minnesota, diaperbankmn.org

The Diaper Bank????? Are they FDIC insured?

Seriously folks, what’s next?
