Great Letter About Re-branding Brooklyn Park

What a terrific letter to the editor in the Sun Post last week;
Our dear leader Mayor Lunde, several gentlemen and a lady on the city council are at it again – spending other people’s money. This time they want to blow $200,000 “re-branding” Brooklyn Park. But it’s just, as they say, putting lipstick on a pig.
The lipstick is pure public relations. The pig is crime, poor schools, unsafe neighborhoods. The $200,000 won’t change a thing.
These folks also double as the economic development authority. That means they think themselves experts. And they get to call themselves “commissioners!” And they have staff. Mayor Lunde wants to “go big.” He should just go home.
Rebate the money to taxpayers. But it’s not in government’s nature. Maybe we could update our security systems. At least hire a couple of cops. And let the Chamber of Commerce push the P.R.
City Hall can’t tell the truth and do something real about it.
