Too Much Construction

Anyone driven through New Hope lately? My God! Who in the world thought it would be a good idea to shut down Boone Avenue, make Winnetka a one lane north of the railroad tracks, and then shut down the intersection of Winnetka and 42nd all at the same time!!!!!

And now the traffic is being re-routed to Douglas Drive with their dumb, stupid, and idiotic three lane road (or should I call it a two lane road) and now traffic there is backed up forever!

I know government is trying hard to get us out of our cars and force us on to their public transit but come on New Hope! Anyone with a peanut for a brain should have seen this as a potential disaster. That said, I’m sure New Hope will accept as little responsibility as possible. Remember the rule of city government; if you can blame someone else, don’t hesitate!

It is quite interesting to note that with all this disruption of traffic circulation, none of it can be relieved by any of the transit projects currently running or under construction. Don’t ya think?
