Check out Crystal Mayor ReNae Bowman’s response to the Letter to the Editor in the Sun Post on her Facebook page .

Here is text if it gets removed

ReNae Bowman “I know I have choosen to live in a world filled with politics, but I am so tired of republican rhetoric from Palin to my locals. One bright spot, in the local paper this week, a local, very nutty republican wrote an editorial saying that “I had embarrassed and humiliated him”. I would say that unsound ideas and foolish talk was the reason. Score for our side.”

I think that Andrew Richter and Ron Stoffel are crock pots. Tell me what you think.

What we did with the Richter/Bowman feud is print Bowman’s LTE, then Richter’s, then Bowman’s response that we were alerted to from facebook and asked for feedback. Bowman said that “throwing the bums out” was un-American and that there was “no merit” to having that feeling. Is Richter a crackpot if he disagrees? What did Mr. Richter say that was untrue, false, or misleading? If you disagree with him (or Ron) on something please tell us your reasoning.

It is sad that our elected Mayor thinks so poorly of her constituents and is so out of touch with them. It is hard to comprehend the reasoning that led to turning Douglas Drive north of 42 Ave N into the current configuration of one motorized traffic lane in each direction with a left turn lane. The stated reason offered was that we needed to slow traffic. It sure worked. It can take 10 minutes to make a right hand turn onto Douglas from 48th Ave N, Fairview, 50th Ave N and other streets when a train passes on the tracks just south of W. Broadway or during rush hour. By the way has anyone else noticed the increased frequency of trains using that track?

I don’t understand how backing up traffic, causing people to sit in idling cars and build up frustrations are traffic calming although it certainly slows folks down.

Folks in my neighborhood are choosing to head over to Plymouth or Robbinsdale to shop rather than deal with these delays.

It is sad that Mayor Bowman feels the need to publish a diatribe calling citizens un-American for expressing a dissenting opinion.
