Robbinsdale School Board Candidate “Speed Campaigning” Event Oct. 28
October 25, 2009
After fielding a number of questions and concerns from folks frustrated by the inability to get detailed answers to questions at the Oct. 22 League of Women Voters Forum for School Board Candidates, we set up a meet and greet for those interested in learning more about the candidates and the issues.
Please join us from 7:00-9:30 pm Wednesday, Oct. 28 at the Fieldhouse Sports Tavern and Grille, 5632 W Broadway Ave in Crystal (located next to Office Depot at the corner of Bass Lk. Rd and Broadway).
CSM has invited all the candidates and have received RSVPs from the following (with links to their web sites):
- Darlene Baker, Plymouth
- Mark Bomchill, Plymouth
- Richard Brynteson, Crystal (pending)
- Patsy Green, Incumbent (pending)
- Linda Johnson, Incumbent (arriving later at 8:30)
- Jim Oathout, Crystal
- Andrew Richter, Crystal (pending)
- Beth Sharpe, Brooklyn Center
- Tom Walsh, Incumbent
- Brian Zirbes, Crystal
This will be a great opportunity to enjoy “Speed Campaigning” where voters in small groups visit with each candidate with questions and answers in a set period of time. It will be a friendly and casual, free-flowing opportunity for interested citizens and candidates to have discussions in small groups, rather than a one-sided formal program.

We hope you can attend and please share this invitation with your neighbors. It is not often that we have so many well-qualified candidates and so much interest in a school board race. The election is coming up fast: Tuesday November 3!
Please RSVP to help us plan seating: commsolutionsmn@gmail.com or candace@care-usa.org
